Remind me.....

There are some days when I wake up and just need a reminder of God's Truth and Promises.  I just need His Word. I need the Words of My Father to wash over me like fresh April rain.

Really, there are no other words with more Power, Strength, Comfort, and Peace.

Yesterday as I had my quiet time, I was led to a few verses in Psalm. I said them aloud to the Lord, over and over, and didn't really say much else to Him.

It's not that I didn't have plenty to say {I always do!}, it's just that I wanted to speak to Him using His Words, His Promises. I wanted to stand on His Truth, plain and simple.

Sometimes we just need to know His Word, say His Word, believe His Word. There have been times too many to count, that I have been tormented by fear. In a ball, on the floor, tormented.

In those moments, I would get my Bible, open it up and start repeating His Words out loud. Over and over and over.

To be honest, in those raw moments, I did not believe those words to be true for me. I thought they were true for everyone, except for me.

How wrong I was.

I have learned that just because I didn't believe His Words to be true for me, made them no less true.

Are you following me?

For example, you may not believe that I have children. However, does that make me not have children? No.

You may not believe God's Promises for you, however that doesn't make them not true.

So, for me, reading His Word out loud in those moments of complete despair, something in my heart changed. Something in my head changed.

I started to believe Him.

The more I said His Words, knew them, believed them....the stronger I became. The grip of fear subsided which each Word of God I uttered from my shaking mouth.

"For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." Hebrews 4:12

In my prayer journal yesterday, I asked the Lord to show me how I could help others believe Him. How can I help other women struggling with believing Your Promises for them, Lord?

This blog is an incredible way for me to share, encourage, and be encouraged. So, today, I long to share His Truth with you. I long for you, yes you, to believe Him. Really, really, believe Him.

As I journaled yesterday, I just wrote psalm after psalm of His Promises, His Truth.

I want to share a few with you. When you need to believe Him, but are struggling with believing Him...please turn to His Words. Penned by Your Creator just for you, precious you.

"Surely, Oh Lord You bless the righteous, You surround them with Your favor as with a shield." Psalm 1:12

"In the morning, Oh Lord You hear my voice, in the morning I lay my requests before You and wait in expectation." Psalm 5:3

"Lead me, Oh Lord, in your righteousness, make straight Your way before me." Psalm 5:8

 "But let all who take refuge in you be glad: let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you." Psalm 5:11

"Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night." Psalm 1:1-2

"Lord, you have assigned me my portion and my cup; you have made my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance." Psalm 16:5-6

"I have set the Lord always before me. Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken." Psalm 16:8

"You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand." Psalm 16:11

"The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble." Psalm 9:9

"I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, Oh Lord, make me dwell in safety." Psalm 4:8

"I am confident in this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living." Psalm 27:13

"The Lord is my strength and my shield, my heart trusts in him, and I am helped.: Psalm 28:7

"The righteous cry out and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles." Psalm 34:17

"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Psalm 34:18

"He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun." Psalm 37:6

Even as I write these words, every single one of these words, my heart is strengthened.

Maybe you don't believe Him. Maybe you do.

Either way, I urge you to daily remind yourself of His Word. His Truth. His Promises.

The enemy wants you to forget. He wants you to bow down the fear that God has forgotten about you, or that God never knew you.

What a lie.

For you created my inmost being;
    you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
    your works are wonderful,
    I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
    when I was made in the secret place,
    when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
    all the days ordained for me were written in your book
    before one of them came to be.

As I type, I am lifting each and every one of you up to the Father. Asking Him to pour His blessings of Love, Grace, Peace, upon you. My prayer is that you start believing Him--today. The more you get to know Him in His Word, the more you will start believing Him.

He can be trusted.

believing Him,
