Happy Monday, sweet SHINE girls!

Are you ready for our weekly Memory Verse?

click on this picture to download it, print it, share it on FB, Twitter, Instagram.
Have fun!

Some of you may already have this verse down pat in your memory. Some of you may not have ever heard of this precious gem of a verse. Either way, I want us all to write it down and keep it with us. Put it in a place that you will see it every day.

You may even get to bless a friend with this verse one day. Just wait, it will just spill out of your mouth and your friend will be so blessed by God's Word!

I cannot even begin to tell you how this verse has set me free. When you have many, many, many imperfections, you rely on this verse a whole lot.

The struggles that I have frustrate me day in and day out. There are so many things that I would like to change about myself. However, I have come to realize that these weaknesses in my flesh are exactly the reason that I am so drawn to our Father!

I look back over my life and shudder at the mistakes I have made. The cool thing is, if I had not gotten so messed up and so on-my-knees desperate....I never would have pursued such an intimate relationship with Him.

So, when I read our memory verse, I cannot help but to well up with tears. It is because He loves me so much that He made me all flawed and goofy. :)

It's His way of making sure I realize just exactly how He can work through me when I surrender my insecurity and inferiority to Him.

Are you feeling inferior? Are you comparing your weaknesses to someone else's strength? Are you desperate to be used by Him only to feel like there is nothing He can use?

Sweet girl, embrace your weakness and surrender it to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

He will make His Power absolutely perfect in your weakness. Quit trying to hide your faults from Him. He sees you, He made you.

Acknowledge your weakness and give it right back to Him. Set those flaws at His feet and let Him have His perfect way with them.

I can tell you with absolute certainty that He will use that very flaw to show His Power through you! Oh, yes, He will!

Go to Him. Now.

Surrender yourself, flaws and all to your Father.

He's waiting.

surrendering,

jill

  1. You've done it again, my dear Jill!!

What you have just said goes right with what I gleaned from the sermon Kevin Miller preached yesterday at Hebron...and it was from 1 Samuel...about David.

Having just studied this with our Shinegirls this past year...I was ready...so prepared for this message...and will bless you Shinegirls when I have it down...

It may go with the other I spoke with you about...

As I embark today on a new adventure...I'm keeping both of my youngest girls on Monday...while the baby (25 months old's)Mama goes back to school.

So, when I get it written, it will come your way!

Thanks, Jill, for always...and I mean always...being a blessing to me!...to us Shinegirls...regardless how "young" we are...

    Woo Hoo!!!!!

Wow! O, Father God, what a wonder you are. You know us inside and out and you have made such wonderful provision for us. And you even tell us that in our weaknesses we are stronger because of your Grace. O, how we need you. We are needy people and the glorious privilege we have of coming immediately and boldly into your presence through the blood of Jesus is overwhelming to us. But we simply accept by faith what you have told us in your word. Thank you, Father. Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Amen! Thank you, Jill, for leading us to memorize the Word of God. What a blessing you are to all of us! Love, Gloria Hudgins

I just have to say, this is a verse near and dear to my heart:) I read it one day and it rang such truth for me that I printed it on a chalkboard in my bathroom where I could see it everyday. It fills my heart with such Love for my Lord, that through my MANY weaknesses he loves me SO much.So much to my surprise when I read today's weekly verse, there it was...my verse:) Thankyou Jill for yet another, spirit speaking lesson to my heart:) Love, Shelly
