Wednesday SHINE....

Today's Reading: Acts 16

Happy Worship Wednesday, SHINE girls!

To kick off the beginning of a new school year, I am keeping it LIGHT and JOYFUL today! (this will keep me from crying through 2 boxes of Kleenex as I send my babies off to school this morning.)

Are you ready for some FUN?

How about a weekday SHINE give away?!

Yep, sounds like it's time for some more giving around here.

My sister, Angela, is donating this AWESOME prize for you sweet girls!

I will give you a small hint that relates to the prize:

It goes along perfectly with "Worship Wednesday!" You will want this prize!

Here is how you win:

Tell me your favorite worship song, hymn, or bible school song...whatever your favorite is.

That's it! Just make sure you leave your name under your comment, so we know who you are. :)

I will have the drawing in a few little days...so go ahead and get your comment in!

We want to know you better! This is one reason we LOVE these SHINE give-aways. We love reading your comments and getting to know all of you!

Happy Worship Wednesday, sweet SHINE friends. Glorify your King through worship today!

singing and dancing for Him,

jill

  20. Oh my goodness, this is hard as I adore all old gospel hymns! I guess my most favorite would have to be "Bowed on my knees" originally by the Gaither brothers / Michael English, but my husband sings that song at church & he sang it at my uncle's funeral...makes me cry everytime! Such a powerful song!

Hi. My favorite worship song is “How He loves”. There are several versions of it and each one moves me a different way. I love love love David Crowder’s version and also enjoy Jeremy Camp’s. I close my eyes (except when driving, lol, ok well sometimes while driving, but only for a second) and breathe it in, it moves thru me, all the way thru my bones and into my soul. It’s very difficult not to be affected and brought to tears by this song. J I don’t know how anyone can hear it and not be affected and not believe every word of it.

Had to share the lyrics… What a wonderful song to have stuck in my head on this day!!!

He is jealous for me, Loves like a hurricane, I am a tree,
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy.
When all of a sudden, I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,
And I realize just how beautiful You are,
And how great Your affections are for me.

And oh, how He loves us so
    Oh how He loves us,
    How He loves us all

He is jealous for me, Loves like a hurricane, I am a tree,
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy.
When all of a sudden, I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,
And I realize just how beautiful You are,
And how great Your affections are for me.

    He loves us,
    Oh how He loves us,
    Oh how He loves us,
    Oh how He loves

We are His portion and He is our prize
Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes
If grace is an ocean, we're all sinking
So Heaven meets earth like an unforeseen kiss
And my heart turns violently inside of my chest
I don't have time to maintain these regrets
When I think about the way

And oh, how He loves us
    Oh how He loves us,
    How He loves us so
    how he loves

    Yeah, He loves us,
    Oh how He loves us,
    Oh how He loves us,
    Oh how he loves
    Yeah, He loves us,
    Oh how He loves us,
    Oh how He loves us,
    Oh how He loves.

Stand in the rain by Superchick is one of my many favorite songs. It just reminds me how great my God is. He NEVER leaves my side. No matter if I am at my weakest,to where I am flat out on my face or my strongest, where I feel I can do almost anything. He is always right there to hold me. This song was popular when my family went through a very heart breaking and trying time and it gave me a sort of strength during my complete weakness. Thankyou Lord for your sweet mercy and grace.
