Friday SHINE....

Today's Reading: Ecclesiastes 10

Happy Fun Friday, SHINE girls!! Wow, what a week it has been around here!

We are on Day 19 of our 40 Day Prayer Challenge! Almost half-way there! Yay!

This week has been a very FULL week for me--in every sense of the word.

My church had VBS all week, so my kids and I have been consumed with fun, long days and late nights. Great memories made, and heart strings pulled because of some precious children that I had the pleasure of meeting.

Throw in the praying, fasting, and forgiving that all of us SHINE girls have been doing this week, and it makes for an INCREDIBLE spiritual HIGH!

So, yes, FULL. That's where my heart is this morning. No, not just full, but overflowing.

My favorite radio station, 104.7 The Fish, encourages their listeners to call in and "tell them something GOOD" on Friday's. I LOVE this!

I am all about some GOOD news! Nothing makes my heart skip a beat like hearing my loved ones spread some of the "good stuff" going on in their lives. I love to hear others stories. I could sit at your feet all day and soak up listening to the goodness going on in your lives. For real, I could.

So, our Fun Friday Challenge today is:

Tell me something GOOD!

I want to hear it! No, not just me, but WE want to hear some good SHINE girls news!

Comment under this post, or email your good news to me at shinegirlsshine@gmail.com. Speak those blessings out LOUD, friends! It blesses others and it blesses the Lord to see you speak your good stuff out loud!

Here's my good stuff:

They say a picture speaks a thousand words. I could not agree more. So, here ya go.

These are my new favorite friends.
My friends and I go and play with them on Thursdays, and they
are one VERY big reason my heart is OVERFLOWING.

Need I say more?
VBS with them all week....
and  so many other precious children.
Oh, my heart just cannot take much more goodness!!
Good stuff.

    My heart is so full this morning as I think about some Good stuff! My dear friend's daughter who is 12 SHINED so brightly this week by leading worship at VBS! She did an amazing job and I am so proud of her. A 12 year old leading worship and being so confident in the Lord! It's good stuff for sure. Then there's my friend Cindy who hits her knees with me every other week to pray and cry talk. I need that in my life. Good stuff!!!:)

  14. We had a rough evening last night in our home and I woke feeling down and alone. Low and behold I open my email this am and my daily devotion has this poem a Confederate soldier wrote:
    I asked God for strength, that I might achieve;
    I was made weak, that I might learn humbly to obey.
    I asked God for health, that I might do greater things;
    I was given infirmity, that I might do better things.
    I asked for riches, that I might be happy;
    I was given poverty, that I might be wise.
    I asked for power, that I might have the praise of men;
    I was given weakness, that I might feel the need of God.
    I asked for all things, that I might enjoy life;
    I was given life, that I might enjoy all things.
    I got nothing that I asked for but everything I had hoped for.
    Almost despite myself, my unspoken prayers were answered.
    I am among men, most richly blessed.*

    God knows exactly when we need Him and He is there to lift us up and encourage us when we need it. He is so good. I needed that poem this morning; He knew I would be blessed by it. Hopefully you will be too!

    More good news is the faithful & loving community of the Shine Girls! We rock!

  15. Recognized by our Patriarch last night as the preacher and asked to bless the food! After, saying, "Me?" to my precious brother of almost 55 years (their anniversary is soon) I prayed aloud...first time ever when men were in the room over our dinner. Got to sit by him too!! Woo Hoo!!! Father, I'm thanking You for Your Word through Bobby to me...and for my prayer today for Tom for deliverance!!! Woo Hoo!!! Like Elijah, LORD, when he sent Gahazi to look and then to go back and look again...when Gahazi came back and said I see a cloud the size of a fist...and Elijah said It is going to R A I N!!!!! and just as Gahazi ran and the rain caught him it came soooo fast...we are seeing past the natural with the Rain everywhere upon our drought...we see the R A I N the miracles coming...and we shout "Yes LORD!!! R A I N on us!!!! We need rain even when the floods come...we must have Your RAIN!!!! Woooo Hoooo!!!!!!!
