Prayers and Praises for the week of May 20- May 26th

Ever wondered how God knows you? What He knows about you and what all
of that means to you and your day to day life?  Me, too!

How do we capture that relationship and make it flourish in our lives?
Well, a HUGE part of that is prayer.

Psalms 139 is an incredible example of the nitty grittiness of how He
knows us. He knows how we tick. Hello?!  The Lord "gets" you. Isn't
that incredible?!  The good stuff about us, the weird stuff, the not
so good stuff--He knows. The Lord knows us so very intricately. He
wants us to reciprocate, but how? Pray.

Take a look at this blue print of how He knows you, written by David:

"O Lord, you have searched me and known me!
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from afar.
You search out my path and my lying down
and are acquainted with all my ways.
Even before a word is on my tongue,
behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.
You hem me in, behind and before,
and lay your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
it is high; I cannot attain it.
Where shall I go from your Spirit?
Or where shall I flee from your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, you are there!
If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!
If I take the wings of the morning
and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
even there your hand shall lead me,
and your right hand shall hold me.
If I say, "Surely the darkness shall cover me,
and the light about me be night,"
even the darkness is not dark to you;
the night is bright as the day,
for darkness is as light with you.
For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well.
My frame was not hidden from you,
when I was being made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in your book were written, every one of them,
the days that were formed for me,
when as yet there was none of them.
How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
If I would count them, they are more than the sand.
I awake, and I am still with you.
Oh that you would slay the wicked, O God!
O men of blood, depart from me!
They speak against you with malicious intent;
your enemies take your name in vain!
Do I not hate those who hate you, O Lord?
And do I not loathe those who rise up against you?
I hate them with complete hatred;
I count them my enemies.
Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting!" (Psalm 139:1-24 ESV)

Oh my goodness. That is personal, girls!!! Wow! We can't hide it, God
knows it all. So, we don't have to talk to our Creator and "Daddy" in
a coy way, come to Him like the intimate confidant He is. Pull Him
close. He's so ready.

So... Maybe you aren't comfortable praying to God in a constant
conversation with Him, you may begin by praying for others. The Lord
blesses prayer. He misses you. He wants to hear from us. Pray. Talk to
Him. Just do it.

Speaking of "Just Do It." The founder of Nike once said, "everyone is
an athlete." I love that. Kinda levels the playing field, huh?! That's
similar to Christianity and walking with God. Everyone is a prayer
warrior or prayer intercessor.  It doesn't take a special kind of
Christian or a special kind of walk with God. You just have to get
started. Pray.

We are praying for our fellow SHINE girls. (Each and every day.) We
hope you stop by and join along. Please post prayers and praises
below.

Be blessed and pray, it is the key we all need to Him, and... I love y'all,

Rebekah

  2. I'm asking for prayer and/or agreement for my cousin Kellie Clay Richards who is battling after ten years recurring blood cancer (basically). Originally started with leukemia and now is reoccurred. She has exhausted a year of chemo (all kinds incl experimental), pletelets etc and is home, tired, depressed and too weak to even stand. Doctors say they have done all they can do. She is 50, a wife, mother, daughter and sister. Thank you all.

      Mom, praying for Kellie and asking our Lord to surround her with His strength, peace, and healing right now. Praying that He would send His mighty angels to minister to her, assist her, and hold and lift her when she needs it most. May He be with each of her family members, giving them the same peace. May He equip them with what they need to help her at this time, and strengthen them daily as well. May He touch her body and heal the innermost parts of her being, and bring victory to her in this battle she has been facing for so long. May He drive out thoughts of defeat, doubt, or fear from her mind. She is more than a conqueror through Him. Claiming life and not death. And thanking Him for His good works in advance. May Jesus be the center of it all right now and forevermore in Kellie and her family. In Jesus Name, Amen. With love and hope, Sarah

    3. Thank you both and all that are praying off line. She is the sweetest best girl ever. Jesus, hear the petition of my sisters and I agree in your name. Impart the same spirit that raised you from the dead to Kellie even now; stir her, know her, bring her truth and power. Raise her up to sit in heavenly places with you that she may come in and sup with you. Speak to her Good Shepherd as she will know you voice. Yes, per Melissa, give her the peace that surpasses ALL understanding and per Sarah, drive out thoughts of defeat, doubt or fear. She IS a conqueror thru you. Praise your name as your work is being done. Amen

    Big Praise - our oldest son had ear surgery this morning and it went really well! NO permanent hearing loss found, praise God!!

    I ask for prayers from my SHINE sisters as I attempt (attempt not going so well right now - I am fighting the habit of responding in "fleshiness")to deal with an "un-loveable." As we are preparing to move into our new house we are having a hard time relationally with the former owners.

    1. Praise God from whom ALL blessing flow for this child's hearing. Oh Yeah! I praise you in my coming in and going out and I thank you for touching him. Please also minister to Melissa, bring her truth at the foot of the cross. Lord Jesus, YOU died for us all. We don't know what makes some people tick, it just is what it is; usually jealousy, greed, control, insensitively, insercurity, you name it. But right now I ask for the spirit of graciousness and generoustity for Melissa and that you anoint her to move according to your will. I pray when she encouters these 'former owners' that they have an encouter with YOU. Give her YOUR heart, your ears to hear what is really being said and show her the motive from which is comes. Give her your eyes to see their hearts. Melt her with your compassion, thank you Holy Spirit that this is one of the things you bring us, and cause her to bless them in Jesus name. The battle is YOURS Lord so we hand it to you right now. In the name above all names, Jesus. Amen.

      Yes, praise to Him! May his ears remain covered in the blood of Jesus.

      Praying for you Melissa! May the Lord hear your request and grant it. May He bless you for wanting to be obedient and walk in His ways. May He bless you with His strength, patience, wisdom, knowledge, and His love. May His presence be all you need to handle this relationship with an un-loveable. Praying for His peace in your mind and heart as you navigate through this time. Let any plan the enemy had be canceled in Jesus Name. And let life come out of this situation, and let Melissa be triumphant in You. Thank you Lord, in Jesus Name, Amen. Sending love and hope you way! Sarah

    1. Father, we lift up Lori G's Mom to You! You are not taken by surprise by this new circumstance...You are healer of all the breach...the breaks...the tears...all that goes wrong with veins and arteries, and capillaries...in Jesus' Name. We speak to the aneurysm and we say dissipate...you have no authority in Lori's Mom. We rebuke pancreatic cancer and command that you bow to the Name of Jesus...the Name above all names! We speak to the pancreas and we say be healed in Jesus' Name. We send Lori's Mom the Word...By Jesus' stripes you are healed! We thank You, LORD, that the Word is health to all her flesh. We thank You, in advance, for Lori and her Mom, listening to the WORD in the car, in the house, in the hospital, and wherever they both are together and separately. As we feed on the WORD LORD, as we bask in Your WORD, as we marinate in Your promises, and convenants, and precepts, then, LORD, we rise up like Psalm 112 declares the righteous and we are not afraid of bad news and we expect good news. We don't believe the report no matter how grim...for what is impossible with man is possible with God!! Father, unless it glorifies You...unless You have need of her...then, we ask, believing and we declare that Lori's Mom will live and not die and declare the marvelous wonders of His mercy and grace...His infinite and totally awesome...no English words to describe our God!!! We magnify You, LORD!!! We glorify You!!! You are worthy of all our praise!!! Woo Hoo!!! Amen and Amen!! SO BE IT!!!!!!!!

      In agreement with you Aunt Teddi! May she be healed in Jesus Name! We believe in Jehovah Rapha, our Healer! Give them all the strength they need Father. Coat their minds with your peace, and give Lori's Mom a strength she didn't know she had, a strength that comes straight from you Lord. When she wakes each morning, let her rise with your strength and as she faces the day let her feel You with her in each moment. Please bless them all with a spirit of hope. Let the neurosurgeon team be blessed with wisdom and knowledge, and let them give her the best care. Let Your presence be so powerful that no one can help but to notice it and feel it. We thank you Lord! In Jesus Name, Amen. Much Love, Sarah

  9. Sweet SHINE sisters,
    Please say a prayer for my sweet husband Chad! He has pneumonia and it has brought him down HARD! He has never been sick since we have met and he is trying to do too much, which is making it worse. Also, please pray for me as well. I am trying to juggle the household, the kids, work, and taking care of him. I am finding myself losing patience and getting frustrated. Concentrating on giving God my “to do” list…cause I sure can’t do it all on my own!

      Erin, I'm praying for you! May God be with you and your husband at this time and always. May He send His angels to watch over you both and minister to you. "For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;" Psalm 91:11 Praying and believing for pneumonia to be lifted off of Chad's life in Jesus Name. May healing wash over him even now. Praying Jesus would speak to the sickness, and it would leave his body. Be with Erin Lord. Her work load is so heavy, and she needs Your guidance and assistance. Even now as I pray, bless her with Your peace and comfort. Let her know that You have it all under control. No matter how much there is to do today or tomorrow, may she rest in the fact that You, her heavenly Father, will watch over her, her home, her children, her work, and her husband. "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30 Father, let healing take place even now, and let Erin feel a heavy load lifted off of her. We can do all things through You Father! In Jesus Name, Amen. With love and compassion for you Erin, love, Sarah

  10. I was hearing before I finished reading your prayer Sarah...Come unto me and I will give you rest...Erin...so for real is this verse...if the yoke is not easy and light ...it is not from Him...His burden is light. So, take the heaviness and throw it over on Him ...for He can carry it...put on that garment of praise...and spirit of heaviness will leave...in Jesus' Name, Amen and Amen.

    Please pray for my little girl. She loves for us to read her Bible to her at bedtime, or any time. She has a lot of questions, and we do our best to answer them in the way that He would see fit. Tonight she asked, "But Mommy, how will I know that He is really real?" My husband and I gave the best answers that we have, and did our best to explain to her what makes Him real. I prayed with her about it also. Please be in agreement with me that the Lord would reveal to her what she needs to see. Thank you so much! Sarah

    2. And the apples are falling close to the trees! We KNEW Ladona that God was/is faithful and 'you shall know them by their fruit'. LOOK AT YOURS! Awesome. You have been a loyal faithful mother to the two girls you have, now you are planting seeds in those precious babies! Thank you Lord for the opportunity Ladona and I have to share in the enjoyment of our fruit and that God's promises are yea and amen! He will NOT forsake us and our children 'shall not beg bread'... HE IS FEEDING THEM ALL! Hallelujah! Lord wrap your arms around Ladona today, let the warmth and comfort of the Holy Spirit just love her, bless her and shower her with your grace. Let her heart soar with the eagles and let your truth set her free and free indeed. Thank you for her and that no matter how many times she and I fall, we can pick each other up and you will help us to help each other. I love her and am grateful for her, her encouragement in my life and her love for me, mine and the example she sets with her love for her own. Amen.
      Sarah - Psl 40:17 says He will 'protect us with His love and truth'. When you give Savannah the TRUTH, the truth that sets us free from bondage and lies of the enemy, the LORD will PERFORM activating it in her heart. The anointing will cement it there and the Holy Spirit will witness it to her and she will understand. Ladona is right, God has placed godly women around her - vastly - and it will be a confirmation to her of God's truth.
