Prayer Requests and Praises Week of 2/27-3/2....

Please put your sweet Prayer Requests and Praises for this week of 2/27-3/2 under this post.

We love praying for all of you. If we do not respond or comment, it is not because we are not praying.
Please know that. God hears our prayers...each and every one of them.

Love you girls!

“This is what the LORD says, he who made the earth, the LORD who formed it and established it—the LORD is his name: ‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’ Jeremiah 33:2-3

This is Melodie again. My daughter was the one who had the bronchoscopy for her nine month long cough. The results showed nothing but lots of inflammation, so we still do not know what is causing it. Keep praying for Kenna. This request is for something else though. We found out my husband's job is being eliminated. We don't know what God is doing or why, but He is all that we can hold onto right now as my husband searches for another job. If he switches counties (teacher/AP) then it will change the kids' school. Lots of things could happen. Pray for wisdom for us. Thank you. Melodie

Praying Melodie! Still covering Kenna in the blood of Jesus and asking for answers to the problem with the inflammation, asking that He heal this baby girl. May the doctors be blessed with wisdom in treating this problem. Praying that you receive good news in the near future. May the Lord touch her even now and heal her from the inside out.
Praying for your husband's job. Asking our Lord to provide for your family. May your husband be blessed with a new job, and a job that is meant just for him from the Lord. Praying for the Lord's provision over your family. May He direct your paths. In Jesus Name, Amen. Love, Sarah

    1. Joining hearts in prayerful agreement with you, Sarah, for Melodie. I pray for Kenna to be relieved of this cough and that it is mysteriously wiped away. Coat her throat with the oil of the Holy Spirit, Lord. Heal Kenna, in Jesus name.

I pray for this looming uncertainty with job loss and financial stress. I pray that fear is replaced with the hope and peace of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Melodie, I pray the Lord is revealed to you everywhere.

This is personally such an encouragement to me, the prayer of St. Patrick:

Christ be with me, Christ within me,
Christ behind me, Christ before me,
Christ beside me, Christ to win me,
Christ to comfort and restore me.
Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ in quiet, Christ in danger,
Christ in hearts of all that love me,
Christ in mouth of friend and stranger.

      With Love and prayers!
      Rebekah

Agreeing with Sarah and Beka for Melodie's husband's job and pray that this closed door is simply a way to direct steps to another door that is the perfect will of God for him and that he will be doubly blessed in what God has in store for him. Bless little Kenna God, only YOU know who as it is YOU who made her. Heal her from the inside out with your touch. In Jesus name, Amen

I would like to lift up my friend Emily who was diagnosed with cancer on Friday. She is a precious, precious lady. She has a 4 year old and a 2 year old. I believe the cancer is sensitive to chemo and the outlook is good. Please pray for her and her family as they face this scary time.
    Much love,

    1. Amy! God bless your sweet, Emily! I pray that Emily is strengthened through this valley. I pray that her body will receive this chemo and that it will be life and light to her body and that the cancer will be no more. I pray for Your will to be manifested in Emily's life, Lord. Bind together her support group. Give her peace, mercy, grace, hope and humility as she succumbs to Your will.
I pray others are encouraged from her faith walk and trials and that many will come to know Christ through her courage in You.
      In Jesus' name, Amen.

Good morning my beautiful SHINE girls! First let me thank you for being a daily amazing inspiration to me. Your stories, prayers, and hearts overfill my cup. I love it and I love you! I pray every day for all of you. Today I have a special request....
Please pray for my amazing wonderful husband. Every day my relationship with Christ grows and strengthens. I am awed and overwhelmed with each little bit that comes to me. Without telling his story (for it is his to tell)he has....well let's just say has been mad at God for a long time now. Slowly over the last few months I have seen his resolve in that weaken...his heart open... Someone told me last week to pray BOLD...to be clear in my requests with God becuase he is listening to every word. So I have been praying boldly about my Tim. Yesterday he told me that he was awoken from sleep in the middle of the night and felt led to do something (again I won't elaborate here but I would like to say that it was a beautiful and selfless act). He wouldn't come right out and say that it was God talking to him however we both knew it was. So I ask today of my sisters to please pray for him and his relationship with our Father. That his heart and his eyes be opened to the amazing love that is awaiting him. I feel like he is so close to letting that wall down....
with thanks and so much love!
    April Glenn

    2. April, I sense your anticipation...just in awe of what God is doing. I like you, have a Tim, my lifemate...since high school...married soon to be 43 years. May I share a neat thing the LORD has done in my relationship with my Tim?..which means "honoring God", by the way. How neat is that! Well, when I've seen something and I spoke about it, or even if I do today say much at all...though I'm excited...or awed..or so blessed I could shout!! then, he'll sluff(sp?) it off ..or say nothing .. or just look at me. I took to the LORD, and He said, like Mary, Teddi, hide it in your heart. I mean see as gems...treasures...with husband or children...and hide in heart. The LORD and I know what I'm doing, but no one else does...except now y'all do..lol. If I explain or analyze then the wonder seems to dissipate...does that make sense? If I just listen...silence being golden here for sure...then, I will see more...and hide more...and see more and hide more..it may not be until Glory that I can tell him all that I've seen these years. People ask me does Tim know the LORD? My answer is..I'll say! and the LORD knows my Tim!! and love him more than I do! How great is that!!! ?? LORD, I pray that Tim will continue to seek you and find you..in Jesus' Name, Amen and Amen.

Please pray for my sister-in-laws mother who has had some health issues with her heart. She waiting on answers and treatments for what is wrong I want to lift her up for healing and pain management.

Please also pray for my daughter, Kenna. She is struggling with some questions she has regarding God - more questioning why somethings are the way they are. I want Him to lay the word on her heart and help her with understanding. Also, help her bring structure to her life and make better choices regarding friends and the things she is allowing herself to be around. She is about to turn 18 and graduate this year and I feel it is such a critical time in her life that she needs God's guidance now.

Thank you for all of your prayers!

    Blessings and Hugs!

  7. I pray for the gift of faith for Kenna. I pray the Holy Spirit bring truth to Kenna as that is what He does. Surround her, Holy Spirit with your truths, open her 'faith' eyes to see you Lord. Cover this precious girl with your feathers Lord that she may reside with You and knowing you that nothing will ever satisfy her again like YOU. Guide her choices, instill confidence in her that is unshakable that she will not be tossed to and fro by contrary winds, but that she will begin to have the kind of faith that causes her to walk on water but only to YOU Jesus. You said he have not because we ask not, Lord hear the questions in the heart adn mouth of this girl and be an instant presence. In Jesus name. Amen

    1. Father, we thank You that You have given us the keys to the Kingdom..that whatever we bind on earth is bound in Heaven and whatever we loose on earth is loosed in Heaven. In the Name of Jesus, we bind cancer in the life of this man. We speak to the mountain of cancer and say be thou removed and cast into the sea and do not doubt but believe that we have what we say when we say it. LORD, we know that there are many with cancer, and yet, LORD, You tell us to pray for the sick ...to lay hands ...and that they will recover. You tell us to send the Word...and that the Word is health to all our flesh...in obedience to You, LORD, we stand in the gap ...we shinegirls...for this man and for all in our tent who have been diagnosed with any form of cancer. You say, and we believe You, LORD, that every name...all names of cancer and all that are unnamed at this point in time..must bow to the Name of Jesus! Jesus is LORD!!! Every knee must bow in Heaven..in earth..and under the earth...to the Name of Jesus!! LORD, reveal to us in these last days...as You've told us we will do greater works in Your Name! We place the Blood of Jesus on the doorposts of our tent..that the death angel will passover our tent...in Jesus Name!!! We declare this husband and father will live and declare the works of the LORD!!! We declare all that I've covered in this prayer in agreement with my sisters in Christ will live and not die and declare the works of the LORD!! LORD, we will carry Your Gospel...Your good news to the ends of the earth!! We are dead in Christ...we are walking dead men...alive to Christ!!! How glorious is is to live in these last days and know that we are overcomers...because You overcome in us every day!!! Thank You, LORD, for the honor...for the blessing to pray with Beka, Mary, Kim, Sarah, Terri, Lisa, Jill and all the rest of these women!! We are building our faith...each one upon the other...we are becoming that temple that You say LORD is the unified Church!! I'm excited!! I stand with these women and I expect miracles!!! I expect stronghold demolished!!! We will stand and see that our stronghold is the LORD Jesus Christ and He is not sick!!! Sickness and death have been overcome through the blood...and when? over 2000 years ago on the cross...it was the same for Israel as the looked at the serpent on the staff...to be healed of the snake bites...we see JESUS high and lifted up on the cross...where He is lifted up...Jesus draws all men!!! When we see Him on the cross bearing our iniquities...our sin...and our sicknesses and diseases...on the cross...for He forgives all our iniquities and heals all our diseases. We speak things that are not as though they are...just like our Father who spoke creation into being...we look at the sick and we speak health...we speak what we don't see...that's faith!!! Faith is substance of things hoped for...the evidence of things not seen...Kimberlee, we don't see him well, but we hope him well..that's substance! What we don't see...what we know by the Spirit of God...that's the evidence!!...the proof!!! I lift up also your unspoken request and I pray LORD, Your Kingdom come in Kimberlee's life and all that she contends with...and Your will be done!!! In JESUS' Name!!!! Amen and Amen!

I am asking you ladies to please pray for my husband as he is away from home, working so hard to provide. God truly blesses us every day we live. Right now we are in financial distress. It is not the first time and it won't be the last. God is good. As you pray, please pray for a special request that I only want to share as unspoken right now. God knows the need. Thank you. Thank you God.

  14. Anonymous do you tithe? Are you a giver into the Kingdom? I ask because when I pray, I can stand on the power of the Word that speaks specifically to the one who does..in Malachi it says, "The LORD rebukes the devourer for the tither's sake." Habakkuk also says that if we are building our house and not the Kingdom then, God will give us holes in our pockets. When I grabbed hold of this truth for me as an adult...times were toughest! Tim was working more than one job..gone all the time...I was stay at home Mom...given a little to spend...and I didn't see how tithing was a possibility...especially without my husband's agreement. I sought the LORD, and through Godly counsel in the Word and a book or 2 ...I asked if I could begin with less than 10%...committing to increase...even one day to more than tithe...like J.C. Penney and Truett Cathy..etc. Anyway, I began meagerly but Faithfully...and God has not stopped blessing financially. Years later when I worked also and even now...I tithe it all ...both..off the top...with permission from my hubby as he's seen what God has done! It begins with sowing the seed in order to reap the blessing...the abundant! I pray you favor with God to do as I did..to trust, try, and prove Him! We can't out give Him!!! :) <3

I'm asking for pray concerning my marriage. I know I am to be submissive, to hold his hand, not to leave him behind, and to lead silently be example. I have children who are watching what i do and watching what their father does and it is very confusing for them. I have read the Praying Wife and the The Praying mother. Sadly, I dont feel a pray left for the husband who constantly dissapoints me, I'm not like Our Father, sadly. I feel as if I am unable to SHINE or love in my husbands presents, and that is a problem. I have so much to give and want to...but I only feel it radiate away from him.

Jesus this is now at your feet, I love you.

Anonymous, at His feet is the best place to be. Praying He blesses you for giving so much effort in praying for your husband and wanting to give, and that He will fill all the gaps for you. Where you don't feel like you have enough, I pray He fills it for you. Where you don't feel like you have the strength, I pray He is strong for you and through you. Don't give up! It always gets darkest right before the dawn. He will bless your obedience and your hope and faith! Praying for your marriage and asking for God's best for you both. May He restore whatever has been broken to even better than before. Asking in Jesus name that He hears your cry for help, and that He will be your rescuer and your healer. Praying for protection over you, your husband, and your children. Binding the enemy in Jesus name in this situation, and praying the Holy Spirit is welcome to do as He pleases. Believing for good things for you! Love, Sarah

    3. Hey...I've been here...long time ago...me wanting to be closer to Jesus...and for my children to follow Christ...

Learning the Word that we walk by Faith and not feeling...I would fall in and out of love with my hub...until I realized that my emotions were not to rule me...the Word was...the Word is Spirit.

It's close to pretending...you know we all want to be more transparent...to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth...but when I was in love I was nice...when I was out of love...I was horrid.

My children were little boys. What was sooo amazing was that no matter what their Daddy did...they adored him. When I reacted and got him told...or when I was silent and cold...my boys still clung to their Daddy.

I had to get a new view! I mean my guys did not care that their Daddy wasn't walking the walk and talking the talk...they cringed and were sad...or whatever ... when I was out of kilter.

You know how our God is mighty...and things in the Bible...just don't make sense to us...well it's like that about us submitting to unholy husbands. I don't mean murderers, or thieves, or whoremongers...the LORD does not ask up to break the law...the Word...to be submissive.

He does ask that we have a gentle, quiet spirit. He does ask that we love our husbands. Love is not a feeling. Love is a choice we make. Feelings are deceptive...and I know more women leaving their husbands because they don't feel the same.

The older women needed to inform you and the other young wives..like Titus tells us to...that we don't feel the same about our husbands throughout the marriage...because we don't feel the same about anything.

Our hormones loopty loop all through our lives, and it is amazing that men remain with those of us who have stayed. Our children...at times...think we're nuts! And, sometimes we act nuts! We go through that cycle each month...we have babies...pre- and post- blues...pre-and post- menapausal..for pity sakes...

And, Jesus still loves us!!! Our children to too!!! And, if we don't run them off or leave them...our husbands do!

Now, are they changing also! Yes!! They seem to try to be younger...in the 30's and 40's and today men are married to younger women..and taking hormone shots to stay young for them.

I pray you lay down this man and yourself at the feet of Jesus. I pray that you see that he is the daddy of these children and they will always love him. I pray that you don't come to the point of the children really mixed up with you in different houses...and with others that they will say one day...that's not my Mama...or that's not my Daddy.

I have 2 who only see daddies on the week-end. They do not have Godly role models during the week. How confusing is all that?

I want you to write down on one side of a sheet of paper all the things you do not like about your hubby. On the other side of the paper, I want you to write all the things that interested you in him...why did you marry him?

I want you to forgive him for each of the wrongs...then, say aloud the things that you love..or have loved...and then burn the paper.

Begin anew with no false expectations. Poor men are not our knights in shining armor...and as we become close to Jesus...they actually become jealous. How do I know this? The LORD told me so.

What are we anyway? We're the woman that God gave to man..what is our purpose? To help the man. We are the helpmate. If we are not making him better ...encouraging, and lifting him up in low times...and just being quiet when he's tired...then, we are not doing our job.

I'm agreeing with Sarah...and praying you see from his perspective.

      in Jesus' Name...Amen and Amen

Please pray for our family. A very close uncle is within hours of passing away. They will be unplugging the machines today most likely. Noone is coping with it well and there are a lot of other issues going on. My husband is really not handling it well and our children are having a hard time as we are are walking on egg shells and not supposed to be upset. Late last night he said they were going to the hospital this morning be ready to go at 6:15. I don't know and he really isn't communicating. There are a lot of family dynamics going on outside of just our immediate household that I dont know. We all really could use your prayers. Thank you!

    1. Such a praise and when Jesus healed the ten lepros, ONE came back to thank Him. It made such an impression that the Holy Ghost saw fit to tell it in the writing of the Word! GREAT! Heaven is applauding and God is smiling. Be sure to (and I'm sure you are) also praise your man, build him up and tell him God is proud. Pray for him. And by you're wanting to be a better woman, mother and wife and CHILD of God, put a stake down here as you will come back to it time and again and to give praise is just evidence of a tender heart focused on HIM. HE IS FAITHFUL. What a WOW time! Bless your heart.

Other family members are not coping well. Worse in my household my husband is quite explosive and yelling and accusing me for things that make no sense. He barely is talking with the children and I am explaining, trying to, to help them understand and also cope with loosing an uncle. Thankfully we have been thru this and they understand we celebrate life and being with Jesus even though hurts. The kids and I are praying together, but I can't say anything and don't know what to do. I am praying and believing God is going to move in a mighty way with my husband and whatever is going on along with whomever he is speaking with and that he will give me wisdom because I don't know what to do and things he has said have been quite cruel.

  20. I don't think I saw this prayer request on the board. Please pray for Rockdale county resident, Darrell Huckaby. He has an aggressive form of prostate cancer and has been through radiation treatments. He hasn't responded to the treatment. Today he went to Emory to try and find a solution. Please pray he finds answers at Emory.

    Thank you all!

  21. Hi Ladies -

I have a prayer request.....A friend sent me a link to another blog for a 2 year old little girl named Piper. Piper and her family are from GA - currently in TN at St. Jude trying the very last available option for Piper who has Infantile Leukemia. It's experimental, which tells you how very serious her disease is. I'm including their link, in case you want to read about Piper, but know that it is very heavy. Whether you visit the blog or not, please send prayers for this little girl and her family! Thank you!

  22. I'm a new girl on the blog! I tried to post this last night but it never went through. Please pray for God's will concerning a job opportunity for my husband. We've been self-employed for almost 12 years and the economy is such that it just won't work by itself anymore--even though we do not live a lavish lifestyle whatsoever..the time has come. He's nervous and depressed..feels like it's giving up on his dream and other mixed emotions. There's a good prospect with a TV news station in Augusta and we are waiting for a 2nd call sometime this week. We need the job...but we need God's will even more. So, please pray...no for deliverance, per se...but for clarity and unity as we wait on Him. Thank you Girls.
